SHONDA WOOD-BENTLEY, OD
Dr. Shonda Wood-Bentley, OD, is a compassionate and experienced optometrist dedicated to providing exceptional eye care for patients of all ages. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in 2007, where she developed a strong foundation in comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, and vision health management.
Dr. Wood-Bentley enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients, helping them maintain clear vision and healthy eyes through personalized care. Her expertise spans routine eye exams, pediatric eye care, management of eye diseases, and advanced contact lens services.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Wood-Bentley is an avid pianist and reader, and she loves spending quality time with her family and her two playful dogs. Whether it’s relaxing pool days or fun adventures with her husband and kids, she values balance and enjoys life to the fullest.

How We Treat Dry Eye
In our clinic, we find a huge benefit from doing a combination of IPL, RF, LLLT, and manual expression.
After each RF/IPL treatment, we have the patient wash off the ultrasound gel and sit under the Celluma for a 30-minute LLLT treatment. After the LLLT we do an optional manual expression for any meibomian glands that are still obstructed.
We also consult to see if prescription dry eye medication is an option for our patients - Restasis, Xiidra, Tryptyr, Cequa, and Tryvaya are current medications that may also be beneficial.

We do these treatments every month for 4 consecutive months. All procedures are well tolerated and safe with little to no downtime for the patient.
